Welcome to the Global Digital Health Policy Maturity Dashboard. This guide will help you get started with exploring Digital Health Strategies and policies and tracking how each country is building their own health data and diogital ecosystem.
Overview of the Platform
The Global Digital Health Policy Maturity Dashboard provides a detailed, interactive world map that highlights Digital Healtyh strategues globally. With this platform, you can:
- View Digital health strategies and key health related indicators for 193 countries.
- Search and discover how different countries are approaching digital health and download copies of their key documents.
- Filter and compare 10 countrries with Canada's digital health strategy.
- Learn more about health data governance and digital health ecosystem approaches.
Key Features
1. Policy Dashboard
The digital health strategies map gives you a visual overview of countries with active Digital Health strategies.
To interact with the map:
- Click on any country to view the digital health strategy links.
- Review the list of all digital health related documents for each country in the table below the map and link to the strategy publisher (usually a government health department) or directly to the document described.
2. Canadian country comparison
In partnership with Roche Canada, we have created a side-by-side view of 10 key country digital health strategies to compare with Canada.
Select a country from the dropdown list.
Review the summary of each country's strategy, how we scored the three key domains (infratsructure, access/implementation and partnerships) and compare scores for each indicator.
3. Country profiles
For each country, we have listed key World Bank and otherc data that decsribes the size of thee population, percentage of GDOP spent on health, life expectancy, and links to key data policy scoring intruments.
For some countries, where a digital health strategy nis availabkle, we have provided a brief summary of the key findings, and for many countries we have begun to list the relevant government departments and local ecosystem stakeholders.
Please note, due to the way we categorise our datasets, at present we surface all government departments and non-government organisations (NGOs) in our database for a country, which includes health and finance relatd departments. At this stage, we do not separate these entities into health-related government departments of health-related NGOs
Getting Started
Step 1: Explore Digital Health Strategies
- Navigate to the Digital Health Strategies map by selecting the Policy Dashboard button.
- Click on a country to view more specific information about the digital health strategy landscape or review the table below.
Step 2: Review country profile information
- Switch to the Country Profiles button to view a summary of key indicators, policy summaries and to identify key stakeholders.
- Switch to the Canadian comparisons button to see a more detailed compariosn of digital health strategies for 10 key global leadership countries and compare their approaches to Canada.
Conclusion
The Global Digital Health Policy Maturity Dashboard is the start of a new tooling apporoach to undersatanding the global digital health strategy context. As our datasets grow, you will be able to compare and download all digital health stratgies from aropund the globe, measure them against our digital health policy maturity indicators, and better understand how to encourage successful actions to enable a digital health ecosystem to flourish in your country/
